It’s been a fab, fun and busy month starting my new job at 39 Steps but this weekend was all about food.

I spent Saturday learning to cook new varieties of curry at the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School; the Thai Jungle curry and chick pea flatbreads were my favourite although it blows your head off. I then came home to find that my boys had been busy picking fruit from our new and slightly daunting garden; raspberries, rhubarb and gooseberries were all ready. The boys have now gone back to their more natural pastime ‘le ipad’ leaving me to decide chutney? Cake? Crumble? Gin?
